Growing up and growing older is as natural and inevitable as needing air to live and desiring to keep that youthfulness stretching as far into our old age as possible is not vain.

Needless to say that the life expectancy at present is less than palatable to the human race and it is now up to each person to actively engaged in healthy life practices that can add to his ‘shelf life’ and help him healthily make it past his middle age.

As we grow older, a lot of changes takes place in us living us not as strong as we used to be, therefore it is unwise to put unnecessary pressures on our aging body, that only youthful bodies can take.

There is nothing surer or better than a total life style change to preserve us and keep us healthy and one of the first things someone approaching forty years should seriously consider is to live a life of moderation: drink moderately, eat healthy and wisely, sleep enough and don’t deprive yourself of rest and exercise.

Your whole digestive system slows as you age and fiber is very important so load up on fiber-rich foods such as whole grains, fruit, and vegetables. They will help you feel more energetic and give you fuel to keep going.

Eating time should be regulated so you don’t have your dinner too late because eating anytime past 8pm is poison to the system of a middle aged person. Red meat should be substituted with white meat and things like Sugar, iced/cold water, lots of salt, should be avoided.

Regular check up on our blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, breast, prostrate and so on can not be overemphasized.
